Playgrounds in Augsburg

Spielplatz Reese Park westl. Abraxas

“The playground in Reese Park west of Abraxas offers a variety of attractions for children and adults. With an exciting slide, a trampoline, and a climbing park, it is ideal for adventure seekers. The park also features a skate park, a slide tower, and a bike course for kids. While the playground is excellent for older children aged 6 and up, the options for younger children may be somewhat limited.”

Spielplatz Am Autobahnsee

“The playground at the Autobahnsee offers an ideal combination of play and swimming fun. With clear water and a beautiful sandy area, it is perfect for families looking to swim and relax on hot days. The location right by the lake provides a vacation feel, while the shaded spots and toilets add extra comfort. There are two public and two private toilets accessible to everyone. However, parents should pay special attention to smaller children, as the proximity to the water requires close supervision.”

Osterfeldpark Augsburg

“Osterfeldpark in Augsburg is a child-friendly place that offers fun for the whole family. With a water playground, an exciting tube slide on a hill, and an adventure playground, it is ideal for children of all ages. The playgrounds are easily accessible on foot and invite kids to romp and play. For a little snack after playing, there is a nearby pizzeria, perfect for a picnic. The park is also a lovely place for a walk, although cyclists can sometimes be a nuisance.”

Abenteuerspielplatz Sheridanpark-Mitte

“The Sheridanpark-Mitte adventure playground offers an exciting experience for children with a fantastic water play area operated by a push button. This allows even the smallest ones to let the water flow. In the summer, the area transforms into a great mud play area. However, in May 2025, only one water source will be operational, which limits the water play experience. Additionally, there is little shade, and standing water can attract bees and wasps, which was particularly noticeable in 2018. Changing clothes is recommended in the fall.”

Spielplatz Flößerpark

“The Flößerpark playground in Augsburg offers a variety of play opportunities for children of all ages, including water games, basketball, and table tennis. The park is shady and well-maintained, with a fenced area that provides safety. However, there are reports of litter and unpleasant encounters with the surrounding environment, which can tarnish the experience. Despite these challenges, the playground remains a popular spot for families.”
