Playgrounds in Bamberg

Großer Sams-Spielplatz auf der ERBA-Insel

“The Great Sams Playground on ERBA Island is a true paradise for children. With a rating of 4.7/5, it offers a variety of attractions, including water games, slides, and trampolines. The large climbing structures and sandbox provide hours of playtime fun. Particularly popular is the water playground, which is sunny but surrounded by shady spots, ideal for resting. The playground is well-frequented, reflecting the children's enthusiasm. A perfect place for families with small children to spend time together.”

Hain-Spielplatz

“The Hain playground is a popular place for children up to 10 years old, featuring numerous attractions. Highlights include water games, a slide, a zip line, and a carousel. The old trees provide shady spots, perfect for hot days. Next to the playground, there is a large meadow for various games as well as soccer and basketball courts. Refreshments are available at the nearby boathouse. Overall, the playground offers a perfect mix of play, fun, and relaxation.”

Spielplatz Weide Bamberg

“The Weide playground in Bamberg offers a clean and well-maintained environment for children aged 1.5 to 2.5 years. With a climbing wall and a climbing tower as special attractions, it is ideal for little adventurers. Shaded areas provide comfortable stays. However, the playground might quickly become boring for older children, like our 3.5-year-old daughter, especially if she has no interest in playing with sand. For a small city playground, the equipment is generally okay but could offer more play structures.”

Spielplatz Föhrenstraße

“The Föhrenstraße playground in Bamberg is a child-friendly place, but it is currently in an inadequate condition. While it used to offer many play opportunities, many of the equipment are now dismantled or unusable. The sand area is heavily contaminated and the green spaces are unkempt. Despite these shortcomings, some visitors appreciate the quiet location and the chance to spend time outdoors. However, there are safety concerns due to the neglected state.”
